Seeing as this is your post, RS, I think asking you is fair enough...........
Yes, fully aware you only need a license for live broadcasts.

Why is this relevant to analogue TVs at all? they can pick up a live broadcast with a set top box so you need a TV license.

Factor if you go back through the posts i think it was sp1814 who said you needed a licence if you had a tv. You can have as many tv's as you like you only need a icence if you watch a live broadcast. Please check with the tv licence website you can send them an email for free and they will send you an answer.
You forgot to add...

- We may prosecute you
- You could receive a £1000 fine
- We have opened an investigation

Have I missed something ?

thye have not hounded you. you are simply in their database as having once had a licence and now your address doesnt...they send out regular and ranom letters to try to get you to buy one again. ots is not you specifically, they do this to everyone...my dads empty properties get dozens of these all the time...trying to warn you to get a licence...he has ignored them for years...they still keep coming...
they assume you have moved out so send them over and over so the new tenants get them too

dont take it personally
Question Author
Thing is Joko i had a valid licence when they started to hound me.
well that just proves my point...random clerical error... letters are just posted out in bulk from a mailing list... you make it sound as though they have singled you out for some campaign of harrassment..
