Friend fell downstairs and has head stitched in hospital. She's vomitting, feels giddy and can't walk steadily and has slurred speech. The Xray didn't show a fracture - is this normal for recovery ?
I think you need to watch her closely for the next 12 hours, she may well be concussed!......if she doesn't improve, then call an ambulance!...............
Tambo, don't risk it. Get her straight back in NOW. If there is any discharge from either her ears or nose (blood or clear liquid) or her pupils are uneven or unresponsive then dial 999
Hope you have phoned or taken her to hospital. The hospital should have given her a leaflet with information on about such symptoms and to get straight back there or ring 999.
When did she fall downstairs?
It it was in the last 24hours then I agree with the other posters, go back to A&E.Flashing blue lights and 999 calls seem to me to be over the top.
tambo...the classical signs that Ratter is referring to is an Extradural or Subdural Haematoma....bleeding inside the skull.........but for what it is worth, I do not agree with these "classical signs"
