Tuxedo dress code
6 Answers
OH and I have been invited to a wedding in London in October. The dress code is Tuxedo. Does that mean that tux is obligatory, or can OH wear a regular dinner suit. Also - if tuxedo is the order of the day, what sort of dress code is it for the ladies. An eveningy type dress, or must it be a full ballgown type long dress? I rang up an evening suit hire place today, but was told that they didn't know about that aspect.
Would be grateful for any advice. Cheers, Chox.

You will look out of place if you only wear a suit. (Gordon Brown only wore a suit to the Lord Mayor's Dinner which was black tie, he looked as if he hadn't bothered to dress up.)
