Hake is actually a type of bony fish (in fact, make that very bony - if you've eaten it fresh, you'll know what I mean !!) of the Merluccius family, as opposed to dogfish, which is a cartilaginous fish (as in sharks and rays).
Having just answered this question, and then perused back over the last week's questions (just catching up having been away), I realise now that this is the third time this question has been asked.
Is it some kind of quiz or something?
Are we going to be tucking our tasty, tasty, very, very tasty dogfish into our blanks for the next three months?
