People at cadets (even some boys using their mum/ sisters straighteners) have been doing it for ages, it's a lot easier than a iron.

Have to say that my daughter and her pers used to iron their hair in the morning on the ironing board -pre straightners being readily available.
Was a sight to behold -set me up for the day lol
