I have heard that it is good for your skin to put baby oil on after a bath/shower. Locks in the moisture, apparently. So, do you put it on wet skin and if so, do you just have to stand there until it's all soaked in - surely you'd rub it all off again if you towel dried. Or do you pat dry first and then put it on?

Now I have never understood this. Baby oil is OIL so if it goes on your skin, it will still be on your skin when you put your clothes on, and will therefore stain them! I don't have time in the mornings to stand and wait for oil to evaporate off my skin, so I will be very interested to see if anyone actually has success with this!!x
my hobby is oil application, volunteers needed

With the baby oil gel, you put it on in the shower and then pat your skin dry with a towel. It doesn't stain your clothes.

I put baby oil on and the moisture goes into little bubbles then disappears. Its magic.Try it you will be amazed.

Like any moisturizer, many of which are oil-based -- you rub it into your skin till you no longer see an oily sheen.  Your skin will absorb it because it similar enough to skin oils.
