I am slowly loosing water from my mondeo, no leaks have been noticed I am having to top up the expansion tank every 3rd day, anything that I should check?

Check the oil filler cap...if you've got a creamy residue on it i'm fraid means you've got problems with the water jacket on your engine block.
Probably head gasket on its way out.

Thanks for your reply but oil is fine and cambelt was only changed 2000 miles ago

Creamy residue is not a definative test for head gasket failure.

It can fail between the water path and the cylinder which will tend to give you a bit of a lumpy feel to the engine and some white smoke.

Quite simply the coolant is going somewhere. It is either getting into the engine via the head gasket or out from one of the pipes or a leak in the radiator etc.

Take the car for a run to get the engine warm and then carefully (because you want to find it and because it's hot) check all the hoses hopefully you'll find a leak.
