my best friend came and told me my ex was cheating on me. She had made a mistake and it was someone else seeing this woman with a name similar to his, but I will always admire her for this.

Hi TWR - a good friend will be there when all others have deserted me and will try and understand when others won't/can't. A good friend will share happily my ups and downs without judgement.
