Can someone help??
Flying to Geneva next year (flights nearly booked), which ski resorts are nearby and where can I get more info??
Not skiid in that region before so I'm unsure where is best to go and how long transfers will be.

Hi Spartacus, I presume all of your party have skied before, if so I'd thoroughly recommend Chamonix too. Once there, you must try the l'aiguille du midi, its a hair-raising cable car up, a superb ski down glaciers, about 17km, you have to have a guide. Chamonix is expensive, a bustling little town. Try Argentiere next door, a quieter, friendly place if you prefer. Beautiful, wherever you go as you are right under Mont Blanc which goes pink at sunset.
You also have La Plagne, a bit further from Geneva but a easier ski through lovely pines. I worked nearby in an authentic mountain village called Montchavin which was quaint and fab too. You also have Morzine, Courchevel and Val d'Isere but not sure on these or their distances from Geneva.
Jealous now! Have a great holiday.

Hi,we went to camonix in january this year,we found this a briliant resort, there are so many different runs for beginners to advanced,we found the beer and food very reasonable in the town, maybe because its a quieter time in january but still with lots going on,pitcher jugs of lager for 4 euros went down a treat after a day on the slopes! The restaurants on the mountains were more expensive but they always are.Transfer was about 1 1/2 hours.would highly recommend it!!
