people who work for big companies seem to able to do their jobs. some of the mistakes ive encountered over the last month or so are huge mistakes with implications and huge effects of the people who choose to use them. if i was that inept at teaching id be fired on the spot!!!!!!
Mainly because they tend to try and get a lot of functions done on the cheap. I work for a major worldwide bank and we continually farm functions offshore to areas where there is minimal training and they basically haven't got a scooby doo. I know of many people with vast knowledge who've either been replaced or allowed to go. Result, less and less people with any idea more and more people with no idea. I suspect this is common in most big companies.
I agree with the above but there's also the belief that in a big company it just doesn't matter. A sales assistant in a small shop will know that his/her job is at stake if a few customers stay away; in a big company there's another gazillion to take the place of the disgruntled few. I'm sure there would be a fair few pupils to take the place of any that you let down, but you've got the eagle eye of the state on you!
