Thanks Sqad. It's true though isn't it? I think we Brits like humour, although we can overdo it - I still heave a sigh when a serious or at least 'non-humorous' AB thread is invaded by lame joke-crackers - but it can get tiresome when it comes to the fnarr-fnarring about sex.
I recall years ago ben Elton doing a routine about how women's breasts have been the source of humour for so long. Yes, yes, I know some people will be rolling their eyes and thinking, yeah sure right-on alt comedian showing how feminist he is, but at the time I did think, he's right - why have breasts been made into this long-running joke?!
Sorry, going off-topic now but it's in line with this thing about how we get all sniggery about sex. In other parts of Europe, you don't find this, it's often treated a bit like, say, eating - sex in its own right set apart from love, as a function we need to fulfill. Some may argue there are downsides to that attitude, or find it offputting.
