i did i thought i was a real eye opener how much gets wasted, i'm going to see if i can get throw aways at the market now! i'm always eating out of date food!
You don't need dates on food; use sight, smell and common sense.
Just watched it now. can't believe how much stuff other half buys when i think what we have is still edible. he'll buy a full size loaf and eat half then buy another one or buy more veg as what we have 'is soft', must make him watch it. it would also save us money. the pets and the garden birds are better fed than us!
Wheaten
I have and I do.
Yes I eat out of date food, last was chicken breast in a ready made sauce, 4 days out of date, all Ok. I once had a dish of leftover chilli con carne that i had my eye on for dinner but to my dismay the wife had thrown it in the bin, rescued that as well.
yeah but you hoover up anything in your way...
I eat out of date food all the time. I just smell it, sometimes have a little taste, but it's very rare I find anything that is actually off. Earlier this year I ate some yoghurt which was one month out of date and it was absolutely fine.
Was that to me McFluffy?

If so, im northern, what do you expect? If it doesnt move quick enough round 'ere we either eat it or hump it.
usually both though... eh B00.
Well if it can't talk or complain, why the hell not?
Indeed, lol
Definitely....the dates are just a guide anyway...common sense is more important.
I must catch the prog on iplayer.
I often eat out of date food. Don't take much notice of the dates at all. If it looks ok and smells ok I will eat it. I can't afford not to these days. Was amazed though at the amount of waste when it could be given to homeless charities.
I dont let food get out of date. It`s either eaten or frozen if it can be.
