What annoys you at filling stations...
The question below induced me to find out! I have several but one of he worst is people who don't go to the front pump, leaving me waiting behind them and an empty pump in front. Still at least revenge is instant, ie just drive round reverse back so I'm and inch from their bumper and with any luck while I'm doing it the guy who was behind me has moved to an inch within their back bumper, then go for coffee!...

I agree with most of the previous answers. However..............
R1Geezer - I can understand your gripe about people not going to the empty pump in front. If there is enough space between the pumps for cars to drive thru if the pumps on both sides are occupied, then your "argument" is valid.
However, I have sometimes been filling up at (say) pump number 2 when pump number 1 then becomes free. A driver coming in behind me then goes to pump number 1 and starts filling up. I finish filling up, pay for my petrol and wish to drive away, but I can't coz there isn't enough room to drive a car thru if the pumps on either siade are all occupied, so I have to wait for the driver in front to leave.
Yes, I have often managed to reverse and go out via an alternative route, but if you have a car (or several cars) behind you, that isn't always possible.

jake is correct - it's an urban myth that phones can set off explosions. but i was told by an 'elf & safety type that the "don't use your phone" notices were more to do with ensuring you don't get distracted and overfilling your tank, putting fuel all over the forecourt - which would be an explosion hazard.
I was very annoyed the other week when filling up with diesel at a Total garage. As I was driving in I saw there was a free pump and was almost finished when I noticed the price was £1.22 instead of the £1.16 on the sign. I then noticed I was using the bloody rip off premium diesel which was barely noticable to me the idiot who hadn't noticed the colour change on the pump. It wasn't my usual garage so I didn't know all the diesel pumps weren't orange, grrr.
