Was it ever in his name?
Question Author
hi no it was never in his name only my mothers
Did he live in it as the family home? Did he contribute to its maintenance in any way?
How long were you married? Does he have assets of his own or is there any other joint assets?
When did you inherit the house?
I would say 90% certain that he has no claim on it then. But don't take my word for it.
He would have a claim on anything that is in joint names still.
I will up Lotties 90% to 97%

since we seperated i have a new partner and he lived in the house with me and my mother, my ex never lived in the property. When we split the property we had jointly, was sold and everything split evenly. he doesnt have any assets and never paid any maintenance for the children, but the did stay with him a few nights a week if i was in work. We have always been amicable over things but now he has a new girlfriend and he seems to have changed, and Id just like to know where I stand on the house
My 90% has now been upped to 99.999%
