I am loking for ideas for some twitterature for my creative writing roup. I am also trying to create some for myself. I know we have 140 characters, but my mind has gone blank!

What about re-tellings of traditional tales?

I think Penguin have published a book of classic literature in tweets. I shall investigate.

How does it work, then? I know nothing of Tweeting procedure.

A tweet is normally a comment put on the Twitter website using 140 characters or less. Some people started to tell stories using the same criteria and some US students have created the book above. Some of my examples are:

Susie stood in th rain,waiting half an hour for James. Then the dress in the window caught her eye. "Damn him1"

Jenny stood on the scales - 25 stone. Depressing! I'll start tomorrow and opened the chocolates. On Saturday they needed a bigger coffin.
