I was watching Tarrant on TV and they showed clips from the Russian TV show Interceptor. Where people steal cars, get involved in real police chases, and if they're caught they acutally go to a Siberian Prison. Is this really for real and if so how do the show's producer get away with encouraging our Russian friends to Joyride.

I watched it and decided it was setup by the tv company, with actors and stuntmen
It is true, I remeber reading something about it a couple of years ago. The people who nick the cars are paid cash for the amount of time they evade the police. I seem to remeber that if they are caught they are on their own, unless the chase lasts a long time and then the show helps them out. I'm afraid that I cannot back this all up, I just rmember reading about it.Extreme beadle me thinks!
