unwanted telephone calls

Can some please advise In the past few days I have received repeated calls from
061249453505 - concerning claims.
The caller wishes me to confirm my identity (I don't know where they got my name from in the first place) to proceed with further information. I am on telephone preference service and do not expect such 'cold' calls and advised them of this on the first occasion but they are still ringing, today they said it was not a cold call but refused to give any more information about the reason for contacting me unless I confirmed I was the person they wished to speak to. I declined and put down the receiver. Is there somewhere I can report this or get it stopped or can anyone one reassure me - it is starting to worry me somewhat.

Thanks megperkins but I have resolved this issue by firstly requesting calls from this number be stopped by BT and since cancelling my insurance policy with the Company BeWiser Insurance
