i always try to make a bit of an effort for saturday nights meal. tonight, due to the thread about which steak everyone prefers, i bought a couple of ribeyes and we're having them with a home-made oven roasted ratatouille and dauphinoise potatoes. and probably a nice bottle of red.
i was tempted to go and buy the m & s £10 offer but decided to get ribeye instead. anyone had this latest m & s offer? looks tasty but i notice it doesn't seem to include any veg, or cream for the pud.

sounds lovely :-) im on my own till 10 tonight, so its boiled egg and soldiers for me lol
Funnily enough im just off to Perth for the 2 for 1 deal at Markies.:) I'll let you know when I come back what the deal was and what I got.
Enjoy your meal when you have it -sounds brilliant !
I had an m&s meal, you do get veg.

It's a main course, a side dish (potatoes or veg or salad), pudding(which sometimes comes with a sauce) and a bottle of bubbly.

you're quite right molly. i did a bit of checking up after i'd posted and see that it does indeed include a side dish of veg or potatoes. also didn't realise that there's lots of different dishes to choose from, i thought it was just the one currently advertised.
lorri, come round and help us eat all ours, i still haven't go the hang of only catering for the two of us and still make far too much :o)
look forward to hearing what you get dris, and what it's like when you eat it.
Hi ethandorn ! Just back -what a selection.
Right this is what I eventually selected:
Gastropub Chunky Chips
Seafood Pie of Cod,Prawns and Scallops in a rich bisque style seafood sauce topped with sliced potatoes
2 Raspberry panna cotta.
Bottle of Rosé

The items were flying off the counters as soon as the lovely gentleman was filling them up.

I was tempted with the Moroccan chicken tagine and i was chatting to a couple of people and saying it was for next weekend really and they spotted that couldnt be frozen-so nice they noticed.

The choice was huge
oops submitted a bit prematurely.
I'll see if I can get a link as most of the dates were 7/8th Oct my dessert is the 9th Oct so might still be worth a visit.
An absolute bargain -lots of people were buying two meal deals -quite right as well.!

ooooh dris, sounds delish. i think the seafood thing is the one that's currently being advertised. looks very nice on the telly, hope it tastes as good as it looks.
we had one of these deals in feb, valentines day. we chose ribeye, first time i'd had it and was hooked!
must get myself down to marks sometime this week, son number 2 is coming home next weekend and bringing girlfriend who we've never met - yikes!!!!
enjoy your meal dris :)
O it ends Tuesday ethadron -think its only on for 2 weekends or may be just once a month.
Im saving mine until OH comes home next weekend so will freeze it but it will be just as lovely -cant beat Markies for a treat :)
Enjoy your delish meal tonight :)
