can someone explain UCAS for me.  i dont understand it at all.  i'm starting an HND in a few weeks.  does that have UCAS points?

The ucas tariff is available to view at - http://www.ucas.com/candq/tariff/tariff.doc

It's basically a points system used for university entry to standardise required levels of experience - you score points according to how much / how high qualitfications you have, and the university give you a points-based offer instead of the traditional grades based 'AAB' style offer.
