Oranges in our stocking at christmas, was the only time we got them
Avon honeysuckle perfumes and soap. I can remember going to stay with my older sister and she used these and I thought how sickly smelling they were
Also, the nearby farmyard where our Dad took us all for drive every Sunday morning in an Atlas Van (remember those ?)to collect a big bag of spuds before mum could do Sunday lunch
Happy days eh ?

Engineering suds; my dad's work coat used to hang in the outside loo and that is what it smelt of.
Washing; my mum always seemed to have loads of washing to do probably because of having 5 kids and living near a railway line (soot from trains)!
Leather from later on, tack room was my preferred getaway.

aroma from my lovely mums bread pudding + roast dinners. she passed in 1996, bless her. And the smell of the wooded forest and under growth, bring tears to my eyes of my lovely sister and I while at a convalescent years ago , when we were kids. That smell lingers every time I go on our lovely long walks in the countryside, and catches me out every time i get a wiff of it. There's too many smells to mention really.
