What's the FH?
Am disappointed you dont respect the professionalism of the trade. 4h @ £70 is a lot less than equivalent legal charges.

Salla - FH = future husband.

Tambourine, my comments were tongue in cheek. My FH is out of work at the moment and whilst I cannot plead poverty I just don't consider spending £70 in a salon a justifiable expense when we have to use our money wisely. It's nothing to do with a lack of respect and everything to do with making sure we do not spend money on more luxurious items. Yes I could afford to do it, but then next weekend I may not be able to afford to take the children out so its a question of priorities.

The minute he gets a job, I shall be back onto hair appointments every 6 weeks and (when I can afford the time) having colours done.
70 pounds is a lot of money , are you pleased with the colour barmaid ?

It's kind of grown on me anne. Initially I hated it, but rather like it now. The FH doesn't like it but I can live with that!!!
You're lucky he noticed....usually they dont!!!
I'm thinking of dying my own hair.... But I've had so many hair disasters lately that I'm not sure it's sensible.
I can't afford to have mine coloured at the hairdressers every month. it's a bit of a faff doing it yourself, but the results are generally good.
I might try with one of those kits that only lasts six weeks.
China, if you have any grey (and I'm not suggesting you do!) the temporary colours are a bit pants for covering grey.
It's not for covering grey, my natural hair colour is just a bit dull :c)
I read somewhere that you shouldn't dye your hair any more than 9 times a year, because there is a greater risk of cancer if you do it more frequently. That works out about every 6 weeks, which is what the hairdressers tend to do, isn't it?
