no time to mourn

My best mate nursed her mum for 3 years and buried her on thursday. She is a single mum and was told she would have 8 weeks to grieve before she had to have a back to work to interview to find "real work".
Letter through the post the day after funeral interview for finding a "real job" is today.
She wants to work but is ruffled around the boa that she has not had the alloted time to grieve that they verbally promised.
Also careing for your dying mum in my opinion is real work disgusting dont you think???

I wish people wouldn't feel so smug about never having to claim benefits. They should think themselves very lucky they haven't had to. We never know when we shall have the misfortune to do so. Who knows when they will need help.
There are a lot of benefit scroungers but there are far more people who really deserve their benefits. I have paid into the system all my life - my £45 carers allowance was nothing in comparison.
