Who speaks first in Star wars?

The first to speak in the original trilogy is C-3P0 I believe. He says something like "Did you hear that? They've shut down the main reactors." If we're talking about the first to speak in the entire saga (ie: at the beginning of The Phantom Menace), then it's the pilot of the ship carrying Qui-Gonn and Obi-Wan. Can't remember what the pilot says. Anyone?

Tis' indeed C3-P0 who first speaks in Star Wars. can't help with the first film though.

RE: Phantom Menace. I was wrong, it's Qui-Gon who speaks first. He says "Captain."
