The first thing you should check when any electical appliance won't work is that all power leads are securely attached/plugged in

I thought I had checked all the wires, but it's such a spaghetti junction I overlooked one.
I caught a 15 year old girl trying to walk out of the store with £43 worth of unpaid goods and because she said her mum would kill her if I rang the police I let her go, silly of me to think she'd just stand there and wait for the cops.
Easily done Cupid - I'm pleased you don't have to buy a new one.

The silliest thing I did this week was microwave half a pound of butter! I usually pop frozen butter from the freezer into the microwave then keep heating and turning it until it's soft. This time I just put it in while tangled up with cooking and microwaved it on full power for two minutes! What a mess!
An electrician came to fit a new light which we had bought, outside the front door, when i asked how much, he said give us a tenner.I gave him twenty, well it was freezing.
Much like the person who rand the PC helpline because their computer had gone "dead".
After much drustraing conversation the helpline guy said
"Can you check that the plugs are connected at the back of the PC"
Person"I cannot see to do that"
Guy "Why not"
Person "It's too dark we have had a power cut"
