Gravatar - help please?!

I've looked through the old questions but can't see anything that will help so....

Is it possible that my work internet prevents me using Gravatar's full functionality? Everytime i add an image it shows the pic but doesn't allow me to crop it at all and there isn't anywhere to add it? It says error on page at the bottom as well......

I've tried cropping / resizing first which isn't working either? Can anyone help?

How did you do it lou lou. I've been trying to crop a photo for an avatar and I can't click and drag for some reason I get a round thingy. When I clicked on to the gravatar page it just shows a black box anyway.

Its an image from the net. Not actually tried with a real photo....

I'm pretty sure I cropped my avatar, but that was quite some time ago askyourgran.
But, I think I might be able to manage it again.Although I'm keeping my avatar for a while longer.

sorry askyourgran - i was lucky it just worked, dotted lines appeared and that was that.... I'm not the best at these things so cant be a lot of help! Good luck though....

Given up the ghost now, fed up. I was trying to crop the husband off a photo, but I can't drag the line across to cover him up. So it will have to be the old lass in the tiara/santa hat. Thanks all anyway.

gran, you can only crop what they will let you, sometimes it is not enough like half a picture it wont crop that much

Crop it (square-ish) in Paint before you upload it to Gravatar.

Thanks alex I tried to cut a strip off but it will only do squarish.

Naz I found the paint bit but can't work it out moving it to gravitar after cropping, It will take me ages to fiddle with it, so I'd better leave it for tonight. Thanks though for your help.
