Is there anyone who doesn't care about Corrie?

I think the last time I watched Corrie, some guy had just killed a few neighbours and then driven a car filled with squealing bad actors into a river!
After seeing the TV guide. I see that as a tradition, they are going for the shock factor.
It's Christmas, let's kill unborn/newborn babies, or pregnant women or elderly people.or newly married people.
Let's have divorces and affairs and murders and violent suicides!
Kill or maim as many characters as possible to boost your ratings.
Never mind that there may be people out there with souls who are actually upset by the tv company's complete disregard for a persons' happiness. There are actually people out there who want to be entertained. Not depressed!

If you don't watch it you are not in a position to comment about the content. Corrie has a lot of humour, strong family traditions (really) and is great entertainment.
Always there is humour, or a feel good story, to offset the angst and tragedy.
Script writers have a dilemma - they can't have story lines concerning disabled babies, child abduction/murder, neglected pensioners in care homes, paedophiles, terminally ill people taking weeks to die on their deathbed.....somebody would complain about insensitivity and of course they have to be aware of the watershed.
If you want happy happy, watch telly tubbies
