Cortisone Injection?

I have had a cortisone injection in my shoulder 4 hours ago and I am absolute agony and I cant move my arm.......is it suppose to hurt this much? Just feel like crying :-(

I found a hot water bottle helped but you have all my sympathies. It's because the anaesthetic they include with the injection has worn off I think.
I had a cortisone injection for De Quervain's tendonitis. Was lovely for the first few hours as he also put in an anesthetic, but once that wore off it hurt like hell!
I have a very high pain threshold but this was so painful. I was crying and that is very unusual for me. It took a good few days to wear off and feel better. Looking back, although painful, it was worth it.
