With all the talk of weddings. I was wondersing what colour your wedding dresses & bridesmaids (if any) were. Mine was champagne gold skirt with a green & gold lace top. Sounds vile but it worked. Dark Green Bridesmaids.

First time round I wore an ivory dropped waist dress which flared out below the hip and the skirt was covered in Nottingham lace. The sleeves were leg-o-mutton and the bridesmaids wored peach Bo-Peep style dresses...well it was the 80's! All the flowers were peach & ivory..and gypsophilia abound.
The second time around I wore a long cream silk dress with pearl detail, finished off with a cream lace bolero jacket. The bridesmaids wore Cornflower blue bodices & skirts. All finished off with cream rose & lisianthus bouquets.

My dress was white velvet, with long medieval sleeves, all trimmed with swansdown. Topped by my mother's antique lace veil, the size of a tableloth!
Searched everywhere for a suitable dress for my single 3 year old bridesmaid, on the lilac/purple line. Eventually found a white dress with little purple rosebuds, puffed sleeves trimmed with lace & a velvet ribbon round the middle - lovely. So my bridesmaid wore a M & S nightie!! Very sweet she looked too. The wedding was March, but it was so hot we held the reception outside & I baked in my velvet dress. It was a fantastic day & I'd really love to do it again.
