Its not just the language problem, but the time delay on the line is also annoying.
Bring back Doris on the switchboard, thats what I say.....(:0 )

Andy, I love you muchly, but don't get near me today.
Actually, it was a very nice bloke from Open Reach that was here last week, confirmed the problem and got things sorted. Since then it's all gone haywire - I can't get back to the original bloke and they keep trying to make fresh appointments to do the same thing they did last week. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing!!!!

A very nice Indian lady called ooobijoobi (or something similar) listened to me, took lots of notes and promised to get back to me tomorrow and I believe she will too. Now someone else has phoned from India with no knowledge of what Ooobijoobi said or of anything that has been going on. The fault is bloody 900 metres away from my house down a fluffing manhole - traffic lights were all arrranged and have now been cancelled because they say there isn't a fault. And the Indian guy I just spoke to doesn't know what 'intermittant' means!!!
I feel another scream coming on.
More hugs please! And a large Scotch would be very welcome.

E-mail the BT CEO and give him [email protected]
A few years ago my ex, after about 3 months of problems with our BT phone and broadband was left on hold waiting to speak to someone at 8.00 at night. At 10.15 she gave up and hung up. When she called the next day to complain she was told that that dept goes home at 8.00pm so they had in effect left her knowingly on hold for two and a quarter hours after they had all bu66ered off home. When she said something really had to be done and that was not acceptable and it was wholly appropriate she was angry in a perfectly rational tone of voice the guy on the end of the phone said he ' didn't have to put up with abuse like that and she was LUCKY to have a phone' and hung up on her. That is the nearest to a nervous breakdown I have ever seen her- gotta love BT.

Yes plenty, but are any of them any better? Open Reach are the company in charge of the exterior lines regardless of the provider. BT are the intermediary between the customer and Open Reach but the communication is dreadful between them. To contact Open Reach you have to go through your service provider.
