The harbor is full with restaurants and some bars. you get the families strolling around 1am, eating ice cream like it was 2pm. I heard there is a gay area around there, too - but don't know firsthand. I went in late August, but it should still be warm in November?
I noticed in that area, there are more Spanish tourists than British ones - which is nice. So is not so "in your face". You can also rent a car during that time and travel to the other beaches and up to Marbella, as its not a very far drive off.
