If there really is a heaven as many seem to think, would this also not include suicide bombers (and Answerbank trolls)?
I would imagine that anyone who believes so vehemently in their convictions that they are prepared to go to a certain death must surely be rewarded in the hereafter!
I could well be a troll not having had trollism yet diagnosed by a trollopeer, and expert on such matters I imagine.
But, if the symptoms are holding a belief in God, and a rejection of the concept of science as king, then I might be infected.
Can I be cured? Should I want to be cured?
Science is merely a knight in quest of knowledge of the nature of 'existents' in service to the king which is reason, the method by which we attain an understanding of the nature of 'existence' and the wisdom to use what we've learned from science for the purpose of living.
The other problem with the 72 virgins idea (apart from the fact that 'virgins' seems to be a mistranslation for 'sweet white raisins') is that each one can, by definition, remain so for only one night. So the 72 would last only two-and-a-half months. What do these chaps then do for the rest of eternity? I think they'd better think it out again.
chakka, the houri, as they are called are not necessarily virginal perhaps just alluring and voluptuous - think of harem. if you are stuck in some ethereal non-reality with 72 women and have no idea what to do with them.............
Just imagine 72 women telling the poor jihadist to paint the bathroom, fix a shelf, wash the car, sort out the shed, cut the grass, etc etc etc. It's enough to make a guy want to blow himself up!
theland, this is islam. it's the women what do as they are told. so imagine telling 72 women to paint the bathroom, fix a shelf, wash the car, sort out the shed, cut the grass, etc etc etc
