Our dog is in season and weve been letting her out the back garden to do her buisness so that other dogs dont get to her. We have 5ft fences all around our garden so that our dg cant get out but when i went out to pick up after the dog i saw her and my neighbours dog proper going for it. Ive absolutley no idea how this dog got in, our fence is pretty stable, and its not in need of any repair as it was only done last summer. Anyway the dilema we have now is finding the money to get out bitch sorted now, weve been told its going to cost £130. As my neighbours dog entered our property can they be made liable for these costs? thanks
Check the other side of your fence is there anything it could have got onto to help it over your fence.Dont think you will be very lucky with liability in any case.
he mustve been REALLY gagging for it is all i can think. Its not that we want them to pay for our dog to get done as such as shes our dog therefore our responsibility but would like for them to see to it on there end that there dog is not able to get into our yard
I think you'll find that it's up to you to keep other dogs out of your property, not up to them to stop him getting in - this question has cropped up before.
Sorry,
They are not (under law) liable.
Why didn't you get your bitch spayed before?
it was asking for trouble to let her out anywhere when she was in season, the smell can attract male dogs from quite a way off.
Sorry I'm struggling to understand here, You want the neighbours to pay for spaying becuase their dog got over the fence? Is she pregnant then or are you talking about a doggy abortion?
