3G dongle

My friend next door uses a 3G Dongle in her netbook to connect to the Internet, she has just come around worried to death because she has just ordered some stuff online from
"The Bath Store" she then paid for it via a debit card though Nationwide, when the security screen came on she entered her details it was then that she noticed at the bottom toolbar that an icon had appeared saying "roaming charge £90" What is this?
I have never heard or seen this on a computer before, and should she be worried about it.

Well roaming is what happens when you connect using a service provider other than your own. But that would normally happen only if you were abroad.

Thanks rojash just what I thought, I cant understand why this should have happend.

I think she should call her provider. There maybe an issue with the modem that it is calling up a foreign number (not sure if that is possible) but it is worth checking imo.

Or she should stay out of the Gloaming.
