I foolishly agreed to let my flickr account be merged with my Yahoo account. Now I can't get into any flickr site/account to undo the merge.
Does anyone know what to do? I gather sevaral people have had this problem but I can't find the cure. Thanks

If you can't get into flickr it suggests that there's a cookie on your computer which is preventing this. If you're feeling confident you can always go to C:\Windows\Cookies and destroy the relevant cookie. Of course, you might end up deleting a beneficial cookie by mistake.
A safer bet is to find the Cookies folder and to temporarily move it to somewhere else on your computer. (It doesn't matter where as long as it's outside the Windows folder). Then try to access flickr again. The cookie won't be detected so (with luck) you should be able to get in. Afterwards, you can move the Cookies folder back to its proper place inside the Windows folder.
As I've said, I can't guarantee that this will work. What I can guarantee is that no harm will come to your computer by giving this suggestion a try.

Hello Chris, this is a great idea - why did'nt I think of it?
Rats, tried it, found all the cookie and other refs to flickr, deleted them, but it has not solved the problem. I have found an email address for 'Flickr Help', but as with most of these things they probably won't bother to answer. I will keep searching.
Thanks for your help, Martin
