My parents took out life insurance with this company in 1984 and have been paying quarterly payments by direct debit ever since. However, when checking their bank account yesterday they discovered the last quarterly payment had not been taken. Now the information - company address and phone numbers are history how can I find out who or where tha company is so that I can get some answers? TIA

Failing that the FSA may be able to help

Seems odd you pay to a company you have no details of? How would you claim on the policy?

I don't pay to a company I have no details of, as I said it's my parents who are in their 80's!
You parents should have letters saying another company was taking over
Your parents have been paying out quarterly payments to someone they have no way of contacting????
Could you sign me up for a direct debit from them too please...

Many thanks woozer, I was advised to check the Royal London Group in the law section and was successful. To 'another-view' I can only ask if you have frail elderly parents in their 80's?
Yes and I make sure they are looked after and not paying bills to people who they have no way of contacting.
My parents are in their eighties and like to remain as independent as possible - so I know that sometimes you have to wait to be asked for help or pick up on clues thown out in a somewhat random fashion. If you interfer too much they start getting secretive and that really can cause problems.
and the keys on my keyboard are sticking - sorrry for the odd spellings tody
.

woozer you are violating rule 1: do not feed the troll.

and yes independent parents have to be supported
and i hope eveything comes out all right on this.

with real question asking for help, you are bound to get a few who help by saying oo I wouldnt have done that if I were you.
