I live in the Black Country,we call sandwiches "paces"
"Ave we paces?" Means have we got our sandwiches.

When we are allowed out of the area I'd call them sandwiches though :-)

WBA - having lived in or near both places, I suspect the "pace" comes from the same place as the Scottish "piece" - just a different accent!
