Kindles are they worth it?
12 Answers
My husband has been hinting for me to buy him a Kindle for his birthday. He likes gadgets and has bought loads of things in the past that proved to be useless, so I want to make sure this is not going to be another one to add to the pile. Has anyone got one and if so what is your opinion?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I've got a Sony ebook reader and I'm pleased with it, going away tomorrow so it's going to be used every day.

Hi, i treated myself to a Kindle recently and I love it! I was one of those who said....No way...real books for me, but I have been easily converted!
I read everyday and approximately 3 books a week that I would usually buy from the charity shop so I did worry about the expense but there are literally thousands of free and cheap [under £1] books on Amazon, not to mention other free sites you can access!
But as said before, maybe save your cash if he is only an occasional reader.
I love mine though, easy to use and I can have the book I want in front of me in under a minute :O}

Also the battery life is excellent....three weeks! So in reality you could charge it before you went away and leave the charger at home! Mind you I'd still take mine...would be my luck it ran out on a cliff hanger! I've had mine two weeks and haven't charged it yet, but have read three whole books and loads of short stories!
