Is waxing your legs good and effective? How often to do it? Or is a razor just as good? I have blond hair on my legs and it's so annoying because you can't actually see what your shaving but it still feels like there is hairs there, so just wondered wether to try waxing instead or not? Also.... is it sore?!?!

Pusskin - an epilator is a rotating cylinder of rubber-cover steel pincers. As the cylinder rotates the pincers pinch together in series as they pass a certain point, then release. So in other words its like having 40-odd very ruthless tweezers attacking all at once. try using one on your top lip, it's guaranteed to wake you up.
Ouch - not for me thanks!

I'll stick to me wax strips & Bic (same as BOO) for me other bits - so much easier! ;o}
I like the laziness factor of an epilator - only have to use it once every 2-3 weeks
If males are allowed to answer this girlie question then I will put my finding in also. The mothers of teenage girls have been telling their daughters for years that if they shave their legs the hairs grow back stronger than ever. So not sure what to do. Have any of you ladies even tried laser hair removal treatment?
It doesn't grow back stronger or thicker jonny, it grows back with a blunt edge which makes it more obvious than the natural taper it should have.
i never look at my legs when shaving them i run my hand up them first to feel the bits that need doing
I had my legs 'threaded' in China ten years ago - yes! I have never waxed or done anything to them since, and the hairs that have regrown since then are so fine they're hardly worth bothering about.
It wasn't sore - just a bit ticklish.
I stand correct, yet again, karen. That is just what I was told, and will agree with you on that score. Did you know that whiskers (in men) are as strong, for their size, as copper wire? No wonder your razors get blunt quickly.
I don't like waxing simply because you have to wait such a long time between waxes for their to be sufficient regrowth for the wax to adhere to.

Personally I use a razor in the shower every couple of days; quick, painless and cheap.
