MM and KM Links February 2011 [Week 4]

It is now 18.25 and this is my usual time for preparing to launch this week’s final showdown for the February tussle and to determine where this month’s honours lie. In this respect, this will be a crucial contest for MM Links as the field is fairly open and any of half a dozen contenders have a reasonable chance of victory! As things stand however I am keeping an eye on two or three entrants from whom I am expecting a spurt to the line.

All this month, our latest MM Links Champion, Lady Alex II, has been a dream to look after. Her preambles are usually to the point and her links are sharp and yet challenging. She has remembered all her previous IT skills and has got her launches off on time. I can ask no more from a Royal Setter. I am looking forward to her final game tomorrow when she opens the channel of communication on AB at 08.45am and posts her fourth set of words to be linked at 9.00am.

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is my good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”.

Only a few months ago, I managed to score FOUR perfect hits on KM Links and thought that I had finally tuned in to Kate. Since then, I have struggled to string together any degree of success. That’s what makes these Links Games so compulsive. As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

evening crofter and all. Know what you mean about wavelengths; in both games I am consistent only in my inconsistency!
Having intermittent trouble with my internet connection so will do my best to be on time in the morning; but if the cyberspace air turns blue you can take it that the broadband light has started flashing again....BT troubleshooting says this is likely to happen for a few days after a new home hub is connected, but this is two months!

Hi tearing hair - I know how you feel as I was off-line for all of last week and missed both links games. Had to wait a week for a broadband engineer who made 2 phone calls and it was fixed. Apparently between the local exchange and my hub, the connection had been lost and had to be booted. No trouble since then so will be back in business tomorrow.

My connection just drops for about half a minute at a time, but it happens frequently which is really annoying. I shall have to brave the phone call to the help centre if it doesn't improve very soon. In the meantime will need to get my brain into gear for LadyAlex in the morning!
