My Female Rough Collie is 8 and has never chased a ball what would be the best way to start.

And if it isn't a ball its an assortment of squeaky's that we have to throw for her. It gets very tedious sitting there in the evening watching tele, etc. and having to keep throwing things for the dog.
So I wouldn't bother.
(We didn't have to train her to do it - just threw a ball and she instinctively brought it back to us from when she was a pup - Some dogs do and others don't. We had one who would chase after the ball and then go and sit with it in her basket!!)

Haha at Lottie, know exactly what you mean, my JR would play fetch til he dropped if we let him!
My parents had a Border collie, she was never interested in fetch, she would go up to the ball but put it down on the way back.
I'm guessing if your dog is 8 and has never shown any interest she's unlikely to start now.
