I'm desperately after copies of Miss UK contests on tape from the 70s and 80s for research for a book I'm writing about beauty queens.
I know someone must have some as VCR machines came out into the mainstream in the mid 80s didn't they?
If anyone has a copy I would pay them for their marvellousness!

Would the good old BBC not be able to help. They must have news footage if nothing else.

The largest TV archive in the UK is held by the BFI. Perhaps they can help you?
