There always seem to be active chats no matter what time I log in.

Are AB people insomniacs, night workers or based in the Antipodes?

Chris - did you know that cats talk with a regional accent? I wonder what "eek eek" means when said with a Scottish girl cat accent.
I am up here in North Norfolk - 10 miles inland.

Where did you have your honeymoon Cupid.

I love Norwich Chris. My favourite city. Have a good time.
Is the Kings Head the one on the River by the bridge going towards Anglia Square?
Sheringham, Lofty Lottie.
Not too far from me. About 1/2hr away. Was on the beach there only a few weeks ago. I like Sheringham. The whole North Norfolk coast is lovely.
supapa,, is there a north / south divide in Wales? like there is in England.
I agree Norfolk is a lovely place, been back a few times over the years. Great place
for bird-watching too.
Hi Lottie.

There are two pubs on either side of the river. One of them is the Mischief Tavern (which has basic, but incredibly cheap, food and some decent real ale). I can't remember the name of the other one. (It's quite a decent pub too). But the King's Head is further towards Anglia Square, on the same side of the road:

My apologies for not replying to your post.

The cat which has been going in and out of my cat flap for the last hour or so speaks in a language (and with an accent) which could be understood anywhere in the world. She's saying "Where's the fuss" and "Where's the tuna"!

Officially she's not my cat. (She's meant to live a couple of doors down the road). But she knows where she gets treated the best ;-)
I was thinking of the Ribs of Beef!!
England, not GB or Europe. Douglas 9401 thats my favourite flm

Yes South Wales is superia (sic) to North Wales.
. . . and that's the name I couldn't remember (or, indeed, find quickly on Google!).

The King's Head doesn't serve food (except for Gloucester Old Spot pork pies) and you can't get draught lager (although there's a superb range of Belgian and German bottled beers). It simply serves real ales and ciders (together with the usual wines, etc). It's a lovely, cosy little pub, with no piped music but with a bar billiards table in the back room. It repeatedly wins loads of awards.
Chris
The innocent looking face in my avatar is a little softie and takes his asthma inhale twice a day.

His sister - "eek" is stupid and fast with the paws.

They both love tuna and know that there is about 6 cans in the cupboard due to a special offer at Tesco.
South Wales superior???

Cardiff competes with Brussels for the title of the most boring capital city in Europe. Swansea isn't exactly the most exciting or attractive place in the UK. OK, I admit to having a soft spot for Porthcawl but South Wales can't compete with North Wales (and it's almost impossible to get a decent pint of beer in either area).

You might not be the type of person who shops in places like 'Poundland' (or similar shops) but it's worth trying them for cheap tuna. (Typically 3 cans for a pound). 'Noisy' (which is what I call my feline friend) frequently benefits from such offers!
supapapa, I never thought that before.. abit like the Southerners in England... better at everythink ;-)
The Welsh that aren't 'North' have a saying ... I'd rather be a wög than a gog. :-))
I've never been to Wales - or Ireland.
