SECTION 18 GBH
last year sept, i was walking home i got dropped of by my friend, and a couple of guys were stood outside their house, and 1 of them hit me with a baseball bat around my head, they grabbed me then i managed to take the bat of him and hit him once,then they all just started beating me up, i had 2 cuts to my head, both needing stitches, and the guy needed 1 lot of stitches.as the attack was going on my mate seen it as he was driving off and rang my brother as he was scared for me, my brother came straight away as he lives about 100 yards away from when it happened, threw the big guy of me and broke it up, my mate then come running down road shouted police and everybody ran away, i was then taken to hospital, it wasnt till 3months later i got arressted and got charged with section 18.at the time i did not want to go to the police as 1 of the guys who attacked me come looking for me at a pub the next day.when i got interviewed my solictor told me to go no comment, i have no changed sol, as i thought that was a bad move.their is a independant witness who claims she seen "somebody"getting hit with a bat, and their alot of contractadictions and lies in their statements.they also got 1 of their wives to lie aswell.can anybody advise, as it is now going to crown.

You may have gone 'No Comment' in your original interview but the case against you has to be proven by facts other than what you may, or may not, have said yourself.
The fact that it took the Police 3 months to arrest you is neither here nor there........if you were innocent, why should you assume that they wanted to arrest you for anything...?

well you have to get good representation and prove that thre fingrprints are on the bat showing they came with the weapon and you used it in defence aginst them prove that you where the intended victim their prints wont be on the bat if its your weapon a real point to win the case due to dna or fingerprint evidence see what your solicitor says .
