Pure Wool Coat

I had a lovely navy pure wool coat. I say had because my friends new puppy has urinated all over it. The colour has drained from where he went. Is it worth trying to dye it or have I said goodbye to it forever. Any help would be appreciated, it cost a good few bob and I'm loathed to throw it out. Thanks.

Take it to the dry cleaners and ask them if they can dye it to match the original colour... does your friend know? I must admit if it was my puppy, I would offer to pay for cleaning at least.

could it be shortened to wear as a jacket or 3/4 coat or did he wee everywhere

I know cleaning would not be enough the colour has gone. It is quite a lot on the back of the coat, and I'm afraid I could'nt really shorten it as its not a long coat anyway, at its style would not look right as a jacket. I guess I will have to ask the dry cleaners.
