I wish the Ed would put the notion to bed once and for all about "cliques" being able to get peeps they don't like suspended/banned.

You get suspended or banned when you continually break the rules .... not because of personality clashes or personal grudges.

Reporting a thread only brings it to the attention of the Ed. It's then down to the Ed to decide if the report carries any substance, and act accordingly.

Moderators can suspend or ban .... but if a mod did this because because they didn't like the poster, or bore a grudge, they wouldn't be a moderator for long. Moderators are chosen, and remain moderators, because of their impartiality. It's not rocket-science peeps.

you are right though , it leads to bad feeling and peoples suspicions of why this has happened,
but it does say in the rules that the EDs decision should not be questioned, then again it says a variety of things which aren't always adhered to
