I have been told I should model, but I have very low self confidence and low self esteem. I am only 5'2, but they say I can do catalog work and stuff. But idk, what do you guys think? These pics are from the past year to now.)

and no response from the OP...why do people post 1 question on here and never reply...ever....
probably scared the crap out of her with out bickering!

But despite some good advice from others, i still have my original thoughts. Unless you're determined, and know for certainty that you really want to model, wouldn't attempt it. It's a dog eat dog world, and unless you've got balls of steel, and apparently you haven't, it'll crucify you.
I would think it's quite a horrible occupation. Fancy having to look good all the time, even when you feel like sh1t!!! And all that bitchiness and personal remarks by agents and photographers about your looks and perhaps your weight.

No way!!!!!
And cakes would be off limits too BOO!!

Thank you all so much for your answers. I do not plan on doing this as a main profession, just as a little side gig. I have always wanted to model just for tv ads, or catalogs, and have been told by family members/friends/random people that I should give it a try. I was contacted yesterday by a photographer that offered to meet wih me and give me a free shoot to try out. All i need to do is pay for hair/makeup artist if I want one. I may go for it, I don't see what I have to lose. I do not plan on doing this as my main occupation though, just something that I can enjoy and make a littke extra money off of it. I am only 17, and have a long life ahead of me. :)

Vanity costs !
Go for it, pay a modest amount for makeup then put your money away. This way you you wont spend the rest of your life saying "what if........" Good luck :-)
as I said before...be VERY careful what money you pay out, that link tells you exactly what the agency will be looking for to see if they want you on their books and its NOT a huge photoshoot with all the glam
How did he contact you? Where did he get your details from? Did you register interest with someone or did they just randomly find you on Facebook?
Do not go alone, take someone you trust and will 'always' be there. Don't be separated from them at all, if it's at all uncomfortable or seedy in any way then walk away. Be careful please.
