I've just been cleaning my front windows (inside) and saw the postie approach the door. I gave him a cheery wave as he put the mail through the letterbox. I was livid when I found that amongst the bills was a "we couldn't deliver your item" card. I now face a 3 mile trip to the sorting office to collect a packet, grrrrrrrr!

no, the postman, I chased after him and banged him to rights. :)

Pure laziness. Like I said...my mate done it when he worked for BG. He'd post a card without knocking, even though they were expecting him. Enough people complained and he got sacked...
Is it possible that some of them are so laden with junk mail that packages just don't fit the bag?

The packet I am expecting will be a small Jiffy Bag containing a bracelet. Hardly a dead weight for the lazy git
complain, complain and then lie in wait for him - i'll send you murph

our postie is brilliant. we get things delivered even when addressed wrongly i.e for the farm up the road, or with just name and occupation and village.
one company that sends parcels regularly (food for my other half) always uses the wrong address although they have been told (telephone and letter) many times. postoe delivers parcels and packages are left somewhere safe and dry and if we have left the key in the lock he will bring them in and put them on the table.
replacemnt posties when he is on holiday are mostly useless and leave stuff anywhere.
More like postie didn't wanna carry it, He was probab;y raging you seen him haha
Have a rant at the postie...then arrange online for redelivery.
If you do it today before 5-they'll deliver on Thursday most likely.
No 3 mile trek then...

I our local area it's common practice for them not to deliver these items. It's not doo the individual postie but seesm to be how the local PO works. I went to collect one once on the same day, seeing as it had been posted while i was at home that morning, and it had not even been unloaded from the van that delivered it to the local office! I am sick of complaining about it now, it has got me nowhere....
