Did anyone buy the recent kettle in Lidl?

If anyone has bought the kettle that was in Lidl recently, which came in white and black, could I ask you a favour? Could you check inside at the back of the kettle when you lift the lid. There is a metal pipe running up parallel to the handle. Could someone tell me is there supposed to be a piece of black plastic at the top of this pipe?

The reason I ask is because after I boiled and rinsed the kettle out a couple of times before the first usage I saw a little piece of plastic which would appear to fit over the pipe, but it was in the sink. I presume it fell out of the kettle but I'm just trying to make sure. Many thanks.

I'd put it back on the pipe, if it boils ok leave it on i'll check lidl out next time i go if no one else gets back to you on this
