gone to plan this month - I cancelled a break to Finnland to see the Northern Lights because I got Kiltie, I was going to buy a digital camera the weekend but ended up teen-sitting being a taxi service keeping them entertained, and now this corporate lunch has been double booked and I can't do the new date...Anybody else having one of those day's/weeks/months? Or is it just me!!

I have had a horrible last couple of weeks, having to do things I really don't enjoy doing because of people's unreasonable and obstinate attitudes and the feeling some people have that you owe them a right for them to behave any damned way they like. The knock on effect of this is that due to all the ruckuss and chaos I haven't gone on holiday to Greece with my ex and our daughter, everyone now thinks I'm an utter b4st4rd and I'm still a whole load of money out of pocket and the people concerned are likely to really stretch me to my limit if they damage any more of my property. Makes me wonder why I even try being nice sometimes:(

Poor Nox, it's horrible when you have to take the 'blame' for things beyond your control too. Anybody would think you like having to waste monay and give up holidays! Luckily - I say luckily, my parents were able to go to Finnland, so the holiday wasn't wasted, I told them that's their wedding anniversary present 4 months early, and this bloke that phoned me this morning got really snotty with me - 'I phoned you because I was told your food was excellent' he said
So i said "well, I've had no compalints, but it isn't the food that's the issue here, it's the new date and I'm sorry, I can't do it" he had the cheek to tell me to cancel the reason why I can't do it!

Well, I was making cottage pie early this morning, for tonights supper, and the pepper grinder fell apart
. It took me ages to fish out all the whole pepper corns, then I found two white plastic bits in there. Might have to have left over chicken instead :)
