If your in the UK you will have to be very carefull about the final result for insurance purposes as you give them the slightest excuse and they will drop you in it.
Where I am just now (not UK) this would be no problem as many cars here have got odd engines in and the workmanship is $#@% awfull, wonder they dont fall out sometimes.
